Custom Technology unleashes faster than realtime MVC encoder

Custom Technology (CTC) today announced the launch of their MVC Beta programme for the CINEMA CRAFT® 3D encoder, unveiled during IBC 2010. Referred to simply as "CC-3De", it represents another in a series of highly innovative products bearing the CINEMA CRAFT® trademark, best known for quality, speed and stability. Features like those available in their AVC/H.264 encoder, combined with toolsets specifically tailored for efficient MVC processing are accessible in CC-3De through a fully functional GUI (Graphical User Interface). File property, Bit-budgeting, Encoder presets, Filters, Quantization settings, plus an array of quality control functions provide Compression Engineers the means to achieve accurate, high-quality encoding results.

"It supports the various framerates and aspect ratios, unique to MVC, but most important, generates files which are 3D-Spec compliant and compatible with the professional authoring tools currently in use". Clarke further elaborated that, "It’s the only product available that can efficiently process the slew of 3D movies scheduled for Blu-ray release by the end of this year."
