Lightning fast - CINEMA CRAFT® HD encoder

(Ver. 1.11.01)

During the past half century our dependency on speed has turned obsessive, due to social, business and recreational schedules and the need to communicate and compete in expanding global markets. Time is an important factor whether travelling or transporting products via land, sea or air; transmitting by cable, satellite or telephony; producing manually or assembly-line; processing data electronically; competing in Sports or Athletic events; performing Medical, Scientific or Academic activities; bringing manufacturers or businesses closer to consumers; uniting religious groups, family members, students or friends.

Adobe Updater crashes on Mac OSX

After a clean install of OSX Snow Leopard and Adobe CS3 Design Suite the Updater crashed whenever an Adobe Tool was started.

Seems to be a permission problem so I tried:

$ sudo /Applications/Utilities/Adobe\ Utilities.localized/Adobe\ Updater5/Adobe\ Updater.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ Updater

Updater is running now...

Receiving attachments sent from Outlook ist not that easy with Mac Mail. Sometimes all you get is a winmail.dat file.

Here's a tool to unpack that file and save the attachments: TNEF's Enough

CINEMA CRAFT®HD encoder "Nymphe"

In today’s fast-paced, price-conscious economy, saving time is critical in reducing production costs and bringing Blu-ray disc, BD-Java, BD-Live and BD-Audio products to market on schedule. In response to the growing needs of BD Production facilities, Silicon Philosophies has developed "Nymphe" - the newest solution featuring the CINEMA CRAFT®HD encoder (CC-HDe) and Facilis Terrablock. The name is derived from the 17th century French warships, famous for their speed and manoeuvrability.

Silicon Philosophies announces CINEMA CRAFT® HD encoder (Ver. 1.09)

In today’s fast-paced, price-conscious economy, saving time is foremost in reducing production costs and critical to bringing Blu-ray disc, BD-Java, BDLive and BD-Audio products to market on schedule – finally there is a breakthrough.
CC-HDe has been optimized to efficiently utilize the processing power and multithreading capabilities of Intel’s Nehalem Processors, doubling previously sustained speeds and revolutionizing H.264/AVC encoding technology.

Silicon Philosophies Presents High-speed AVC encoding

Silicon Philosophies will present the Cinema Craft HD CC-HDe encoder at the upcoming IBC Exhibition in Amsterdam. This encoder produces "pristine" H.264/AVC files at faster than real-time speeds, drastically reducing the time normally required for HD encoding. Those files are also 100 percent Blu-ray compliant and seamlessly integrate with all professional BD/BD-J authoring applications. The encoder's compression algorithms and filters "are accurate and practically eliminate the need for re-encoding."
